In January 2017 our family began a journey to try to eat healthier. It started with me, but as I saw a huge difference in my mental and physical health, our whole family began to change the way we eat.  Over the course of a few months, this bread-and-casserole-loving family overhauled our diet to a gluten-free, dairy-free, mostly whole foods-based diet. Many of you have followed our story from the beginning via Instagram and watched me tackle my first and second round of Whole 30 (and my most recent pregnant whole 30). During this time we also saw huge behavioral differences in our oldest, who has special needs. This further cemented our commitment to this new way of eating. This blog will be a place for me to continue documenting our journey and sharing family-friendly, real-food recipes that are kid-tested and husband-approved, because eating healthy shouldn't require you to make two dinners every night!
